If you really liked a guy and knew what he looked like and were attracted to him and had spent time talking with him on e-mail, and he made you laugh and you had common interests and you knew he would treat you like a princess and bring you roses and hold the door for you and love and respect you, would you ever let him travel long distance and meet your parents and take you out? If the feeling is mutual and you trust him and are on the same platform...yes...I'm encouraging you because you can find love over the net...I met my husband online 4 years ago...I'm from london and my husband from chicago....and four years and two kids later...who says we don't work??? BTW, my husband proposed to me and took me ring shopping on my first trip out here...so go for it if it's mutual!

I don't know how old you are, but if he would meet your parents prior to taking you out, I would say yes. I have known people who met on line, and are very happily married. All the best!
