First of all, how old are you? If you are 18 or older and your first meeting with him is in the company of your parents or close friends, then I see nothing wrong with it. There are too many predators out there that would take advantage of a situation like this. Your mom and dad would be a good guide as to whether or not this person was a decent sort or not.

so you only email each other? have you talked on the phone? you do know what he looks like, right? meeting people of the Internet can be dangerous but that is where i met my fiance. i was lucky that i met someone that wasn't crazy. but I've met some really psychotic people. at first i thougt we shared alot of common interests with but turned out people are fake and will say what they think you want to hear. just make sure you know what you are doing and when you do meet for the first time have someone with you or at least follow you in another car just to be safe.

ok, that was one really long run-on sentence. anyways, it depends how old you are. Under 18, definitely not. But if you're an adult, go ahead. But you have to be really careful, all you know about this guy is what he told you...and let's be honest...there are some horrible liars and crazy maniacs out there.
