I'm a 12 year old girl and I'm currently about 5'3". My mother is 5'4" and my father is 5"6. I have a brother that's 5'9" and a sister that's 5'6". I have been growing quite fast, but I have had a few irregular periods. My friend is telling me that since I started my period, I won't grow much more. True? False? I false, about how tall will I grow to be? (I'm taller that both my brother and my sister were at this age)

You will probably grow some more. Girls can continue growing until their mid-teens. I know I grew a couple inches between the ages of 11 and 14.

Ahem... I told you that once your start your period, on average you have two more years left to grow. You could shoot up in 2 years, missy. And you'll probably be taller than me - I've about stopped growing!

Your period has nothing to do with growth. You will continue growing until your epiphyseal plates have fused. When that will be is anyones guess

Everyone is different, but most girls stop growing by high school. I say maybe an inch or two...
