I am working as freelancer for US clients remotely from India. I am not sure about Christmas vacations. Please help me out knowing this. :)

We get Christmas day off and that is it. Some folks will take vacation days during this period, but otherwise 25 Dec and 1 January are the only official federal holidays.

Mostly it depends on your company policy. In your case you may or may not be eligible for any since you freelance. You should
contact the Human Resources people of your current client or re-read your contract. In general, most people get at least Christmas day. Sometimes Christmas Eve or the day after Christmas as well.

Not all workers in the United States get a Christmas holiday. There are companies who do business on Christmas.

Most employers give one day, some have other policies, but it is not a legal matter, just a business decision.

if they are a government employee, they get one day of holiday.
