how long does fertilization and implantation last?

Following ovulation, the egg is capable of fertilization for approximately 12-24 hours. Fertilization occurs near the bottom of the fallopian tube. Fertilization is when a sperm penetrates the egg. Following this penetration, implantation must take place. Once the embryo reaches the blastocyst stage (approximately five to six days after fertilization), it begins the process of implantation. Implantation takes place when the egg attaches or implants in the uterus.

Fertilization normally last between 24-48 hours. For implantation it usually happens about 6-10 days after fertilization, then you may experience some spotting of brownish or pinkish fluid that usually does not last for more than a couple of days.

This is a really odd way of phrasing the question. If you are asking how long a woman's fertile period is, it generally is from about 5 days before ovulation (since the sperm can last that long in the system) until about two days after ovulation.
If you're trying to get pregnant, it is best to try to conceive right around ovulation.

Ripe eggs are generally good for about 24 hrs. It takes several hours for a sperm to reach an egg, the average is about 6. It's best to, uh, get some racers already on the path before you ovulate, which you did last night. I'd try again tonight and tomorrow morning too. Next month try a few days before and during ovulation if this doesn't work.
