Life – it has a meaning and loving purpose - you just have to find your purpose and live it.

I believe every person is here for a definite purpose. Each person is special and valuable; that refers to me, you, your family, friends, in fact everybody! There is a loving plan for each of our lives here on earth and there is no such thing as coincidence. I don't believe that anything in life happens by chance and that every aspect of our lives points to something deeper.

You need to decide now to live for God rather than for yourself. You spend your life on Earth preparing yourself (as best you can) for death. I don't see death as a scary, negative experience, but birth into a bliss filled eternal life with God. I believe that this is something you have to consciously choose or not during your life on earth.

The meaning of life is for us to discover that we are true children of an infinitely loving and merciful God, to find out what our responsibilities are to our Creator, and to fulfill those responsibilities. Each of us is called to affirm, accept and develop the talents God has given us. -

% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.

Life is without meaning unless you have something to live for!
Why are we here on Earth? To populate it, To protect it, To Live!
Is there a God? Don't know, is Santa a Jolly Fat Man that lives in the North Pole? A timeless question asked by many and solved by none but maybe Webster.

Here is the dictionary meaning:

life (n.) The property or quality that distinguishes living organisms from dead organisms and inanimate matter, manifested in functions such as metabolism, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli or adaptation to the environment originating from within the organism.

first of all, you create your own meaning for life. there isnt a universal meaning, as you live you develop your own answer. secondly, i dont like to use the term GOD because man is god, a single man can be a god. G.O.D. was derived from hebrew to greek,

G = Gomar - wisdom O = Oz - strength D = Dubar - beauty

so any man or anything can be a god. personally i didnt believe in a higher being because of personal experiences until i started reading lectures by doctor Malachi Z. York-El. after reading and meditating i came to the conclusion that there definately is a higher being and that we are all gods! You should read Genesis Revisited by Zecharia Sitchin

Yes, there definitely is a God. All the miracles and good things that happen are from Him. The fact that you have a computer to be on here is a gift from the Lord, He allowed you to get it through others. Each persons purpose on earth is different but one main purpose is to serve Him and love Him to the very best of our abilities! It's the least we can do because He loves us more than any earthly father could. He wont let us down like an earthly father could. He loves YOU, I promise He does. God made you to have a purpose whether its to create things for others or to spread His word or to reach out to others. do you have any talents? If you do then know that they are God-given, and He wnts us to use our talents to praise and show Him how much we love Him. I hope you believe me because it's true for me, and for you

I agree that it is a good Monty Python Movie.
The meaning of Life:
Life is for living, loving, experiencing.
Life's purpose is to experience.
We were put on earth for a reason.
Each has theirs.
Yes, there is a reason we are here.
There is a God.
These are very deep questions.
There is a reason for everything.
This is what I believe.
I also believe that there is a God who loves you.

It could be that you are looking for someone to tell you that the meaning of life is to figure it all out. That is the essence.

Peace.

All of your questions can be answered by reading the bible and trusting in God because he does exist. He will answer your questions in due season if you ask him, you just have to be patient. He will give you a purpose if you just ask him to forgive you of your sins and realize that no gift is greater than the gift he has given you, which is life. God sent his son Jesus (which is God in the flesh) to die for our sins and whether we accept this or not will decide our fate.

The truth is that if you don't have God in your life you tend to believe that life has no meaning and (in my opinion) that comes from knowing that you alone have not made a difference in the world and cannot make a difference in the world. The bible tells us that the devil comes only to kill, still, and destroy. But Jesus came that you might have life and that more abundantly. One day each and every one of us will be judged by God (whether you believe in him or not) and he will send you to heaven or hell. We are all guilty and fall short of the glory of God and unless we repent and give ourselves to him completely we are destined to go to Hell.

So you need to ask yourself: if God were to judge me on the day of judgment on the basis of the ten commandments where will I be going? God allows us to decide for ourselves.

God Bless.

Life as we know it takes the ever evolving chaos of the universe and trys to make it organized. I like to think of life as a restructuring of the cosmos. the truth is that life is programed from chains of amino acids compeating for dominance. If life is a big mistake of combining proteins in a primordial soup, I'm sure as hell grateful for the air i breath and the friends I keep, and I thank my omniscient, bumbling diety every day.

I think there is no meaning of life, beacuase the life is a chance or luck (I don't know the exaclty word in english... in Spanish is azar). The only meaning we can find in life our meaning. And there is no meaning without the human reality.

There is no meaning to life, it just is.
We are working systems and if there is a major flaw the system fails and we cease to exist.
our main problem is the fact that we have consciousness which makes us aware that we do exist and cannot comprehend how this is all that there is.
Is there a God? I have no idea.
