It happens. Stinks to be a girl, but sometimes you are not always regular. Sometimes we miss periods for no reason, sometimes they come early or we have an extra. Not everyone has 1 every 28 days. I am 33 and I have never been regular. Probably one was a little lighter than the other. Don't worry. Unless you are bleeding so much you are changing pads every 30 minutes and it is bright red, just accept it as your body knowing better than the calendar.

Sounds like your body not yet getting used to having these new hormones in your body. If it is only your 4th or 5th period, you still have just started it. It can take years for girls' bodies to get regular with their menstrual cycle. Don't be so worried about it. The more you stress, the more irregular it will be. Stress plays a big factor and this is after all a stressful time, the holidays.

First take a deep breath.....it's okay! I started my period very young and I too had very irregular periods. I ended up going on birth control to regulate it and within the month it was normal. I am not sure of your age and whether that is the appropriate solution but if it isn't something that you are comfortable with, just try to keep your stree level down a bit and relax your body is changing and it sometimes takes awhile!

I've looked at your other answers, & everybody is right. You will be irregular for a while. My DR put me on the pill when I was 15 because I was getting it 2 & even 3 times a month!!! Even now, at my age (I'll be 40 in a month) I am still very irregular, & I've had 3 kids & my tubes tied. Don't be embarressed to talk to a DR if you have concerns or questions. I promise you they have seen & heard it all.

Period regularity may be a few years away for you. Depending on your weight, mental health (do you stress out a lot - most teens do), athletism, and 2 million other things, your period may skip several months or 2 in one month.
Just keep the necessities around, including that sweater to tie around your waist. That saved my daughters and wife a few times.

It takes some girls a couple of years before their periods get regular. Until then, they come and go kinda whenever. Relax, keep spare pads or tampons in your purse, and know that things will even out eventually.

I HATE periods...
Lots of things can cause that...stress, eating differently, working out...if you are really worried i would call a doctor. Never hurt to ask? You might be lucky and not have one in January!
