Tell them you got over that years ago and you do not believe drudging things up from the past. Tell them just think how much happier people would be if they left things in the past where they belong just like you do.

That's called sympathy and they want to understand. Perhaps you haven't moved on and that seems obvious. You need to get over it, maybe even confront the problem.

Next time they ask tell them you no longer talk about that. Then if they push, remind them you no longer talk about that. Sorry they are being such jerks.
