I have a 02 Ford Focus. After I park the car I sometimes smell radiator water. I can't find a leak, nor does the temperature gauge overheat. The radiator cap is tight. The radiator overflow tank seems to stay within the hot and cold limits. So why do I smell radiator water?

You may have a small leak in the heater core, and may not be able to notice it because of the motor temp when you check it.
If the carpet is wet on the passenger side floor, it's the heater core. pull the carpet back and look.

You probably do have a leak around your heater coil under your dash. The water is probably evaporating and not dripping on the floor.

IF you are smelling it in the car, the heater core is leaking :(
