Memory: 512MB
Display- 12-15 inch
Ports: USB, Power, Printer, VGA, Ethernet

Purpose: I do a lot of photo editing, have a good amount of music. I don't use videos that much, but I do.
Hard Drive Space: 20GB-60GB

Can't help you on Mac. The only good apple is in a pie.
If you ever decide to come over to step away from the dark side.
try IBM, DELL or HP

They all about equivalent except for.

1 IBM more expensive, made the best
2 DELL Less expensive than IBM and you can buy it in monthly payments works just as good but not as sturdy.
3 HP Made a little better than DELL but prone to more problems, cost a little more than DELL but less than IBM.

I have an IBM T-23 and a DELL D-600 I use the Dell the most though.

Any computer out there today can do what you describe. However, I would definitely recommend a Mac. The newest Macbooks are great machines - very fast, and offer far more than what you describe above. They start at $1099 and go up from there, depending on what you want, but they all have far more than the specs you describe, so I think you're good.
