I'm 11 weeks and babycentere.uk says it should start appearing during this week. What previous experiences have you had with this?

Mine always came later in pregnancy and got darker as I was farther along.

Well I'm 30 weeks pregnant and the dark line has only just VERY faintly started to appear on me, and as for the belly button, it pops out earlier on some women than others. Some woment it doesnt at all but I've been told its more common for it to pop later on in pregnancy as you get a lot bigger.... my belly button hasnt popped yet but has just about reached the flat stage instead of being an inney.

Mine appeared at 29 weeks! I thought it was a stretch mark and I was pretty relieved when I was told it was a normal pigmentation line that would disappear with time.... everyone is different and could get theirs at different times of the pregnancy so dont worry if you dont see yours for a few weeks. Not every woman gets this. Its more prevalent in dark skin toned women. Some women may get it between the 3-5 month of pregnancy, some may not get it until the 7-8 month of pregnancy and some women never get it at all.
Women who are lighter skinned (fair skin tones) are more likely to not get it or it appears later in pregnancy and may be very, very faint.
I personally did not get this until my 8 month of pregnancy and it was so faint that you could hardly see it at all. I am fair skinned :)

Mine appeared about 1/2way through and didn't disappear until my twins were like, 5-6 months old. But other people are right, not every woman gets it. Heck, from what I read it's mainly black and darker skinned women, but I'm white and bright and I got one!

With all of my kids...I saw it before I even knew I was pregnant! It was very light but got darker as I got further along. It is most common in women with darker or olive skin but can occur in anyone. I am now 37 weeks and it now goes up way above my belly button!

i think i was about 5 months when it showed with my first pregnancy. now i am almost 7 months with my second baby and i don't have it yet. so who knows you may never get one or it may show up in a few weeks. good luck!

I noticed it right away but this is my second pregnancy, I am 7 weeks and I can see it pretty good.

I never had one with my son and so far with this one I am 21 wks and still don't have one. Every pregancy is different. Now I do have my fair share of stretch marks.LOL
