The other day I passed a bus stop and saw and old woman and a little girl waiting for the bus. The older woman was frantically searching through her pocket book and the little girl was visibly upset. I knew something was not right, but I was pressed for time for another commitment. I turned the corner to my house, but something kept nagging at me, something that said I should at least ask if I could help. Perhaps she was short on $$ for the bus. I pulled in my driveway and then backed out and returned to the bus stop. I asked the older woman if everything was OK? She said she had just missed the bus and was now going to be late for her daughters Brownie troop Holiday party. I asked where the party was and she told me it was a church not too far away. The coincidence is that my own daughter had attended a day school program there. I knew that she would never make it to the party. I asked the woman if I could offer her a ride. Before she could respond, the little girl ran towards my van. When we pulled away, the little girl said "Thank you mister and thank you God for this miracle." 10 minutes of my time brought such joy and happiness to this little girl. At that moment she was the happiest little girl on the planet!

sure, 4 years in the past my husband and that i've got been on our thank you to Idaho. We have been in a sixteen' Uhaul. We pulled over so my husband would desire to take off his hues(they have been clip-ons). properly the element of the line became comfortable because of the fact it were raining all day and the U-haul began sinking into the airborne dirt and mud!!!! We did no longer be attentive to what to do. We tried to dig out a trench for the drained, even though it did no longer artwork. We concept we could be there consistently reason it became an exceedingly sluggish street. in basic terms our success approximately 0.5 an hour later somebody got here visiting the cornor. they did no longer have a telephone for us to apply so as a replace they went to the subsequent homestead, which became a pair miles away and enable them to be attentive to what became happening. They observed as a pal of theirs who became a tow truck driving force. It became after hours so he became off accountability. The tow truck driving force got here and have been given us and our 2 kitties and the intense high quality relatives who observed as him interior the 1st plus enable us to stay at their homestead until the U-haul became out of the pit. Then afterwards we desperate that we mandatory to locate a miles less high priced motel reason we weren't going to make it to our trip spot. The tow truck driving force became intense high quality sufficient to flow out of his way and coach us a thank you to the subsequent city and the main inexpensive motel. If it wasn't for all those people we could have probable been there on the element of the line all nighttime long. this is somewhat staggering that the guy gave you the money to repair your automobile. What an spectacular guy.

Once I was standing in line at the airport getting ready to board a Southwest flight. A young woman (maybe 22?) carrying a small child approached the counter and was told that her tickets hadn't been paid for - she had a reservation, but it was just on hold until she paid for the tickets. She explained to the person at the counter that her husband had paid for the tickets, and she was on her way with her son to join her husband on a business trip, she had quit her job to stay at home with their young child so she had no cash or checks because money was tight on one income in California, and that they had just one credit card and he had it with him.

She began to cry as they told her they couldn't give her and her son boarding passes because the ticket hadn't been paid for. She had been dropped off at the airport by a neighbor because she had no family in the area.

I stepped up next to her at the counter, pulled out my credit card, and paid for her ticket. She protested, but I insisted. She asked for my address so she could repay me. I told her it wasn't necessary, but gave her my business card after she insisted.

Six months later I received a card with a check for the amount of the fare in it - with a very nice note from the woman. Seems her husband had lost his job months before and this was not a business trip for him, it was an interview for a new job near their family in another state. He'd gotten the job and they had the money to repay me for the ticket, and wanted to thank me and repay the favor. Honestly, I hadn't even thought of it since, but I was so touched by her story and getting the check back. I cashed the check and donated the money to charity in the young mother's name.
