Didn't you know? it is OK for them to use any form of abusive language they want and it is "creativity" If a non colored person uses it, even by accident or because of provocation it is a hate crime and punishable by imprisonment.
Sorry everyone, that is one of the few racial buttons that sets me off.
During school when I was younger I went through years of being "cracker, white wh*re, white B*tch, White trash etc..." and the one time I responded with the "N word" I was suspended for three days, forced to give a public apology in the auditorium before being allowed to return to school and then I was graciously allowed to return to my place of being abused. I grew up in a mid to high income area, dressed nice and was always polite. I was just in a very Racially controlled school system -DeSote Texas

same reason why a "C" average college student ended up being our president! It all comes to ignorance. I'm black and I don't ever want to hear my son or sisters talk like that toward each other or another black person. But that word has lost it's meaning to the point hispanics use it, whites use it towards each other and so forth. The truth still remains, white people used it to degrade blacks therefore the pain is still there and we really can't weed out which one of our white friends are saying it like a friend and which ones are saying it to hurt your feelings. Believe it hurts though. I don't use it and i grew up not hearing it as a fun word but the first time a white person said to me, i swear, eating fire would have been better. Really no one should use it at all but like someone has said, i guess it has to do with family sticking together, race sticking together etc. I mean i hear hispanics call themselves spix or whatever the word is so it makes them feel closer maybe but if a white person called a hispanic that i'm sure it's war! Just like you don't say jack about someones mama you don't say racial words to your opposite race right!!

It's the same principle as: "I can make derogatory remarks about my wife, but don't you dare!" - Because I can do it in loving fun, but I won't at all appreciate you doing it. (Actually I don't make derogatory remarks about my wife, but you get the picture).
Blacks who here the "n" word from other blacks have no reason to feel someone is treating them like dirt. But to hear It from whites, who for a long time held them in slavery, and who used that word while implying that they had no soul, and who did everything they could to keep them from getting educated, or being allowed to vote - well yes, it does sound threatening.
If I had acted in an abusive way to a person, and later repented and apologized properly - well I wouldn't sound very sincere if I later made derogatory remarks about what I had done to them.

Well,I have a minor problem with that. My daughters good friend always says "hey, whats up my ******?" We are white but that's not the problem, the problem is she hangs out with him so much that it's starting to rub off. She came home from school the other day & said to me "hey what's up my ******?" I'm just so afraid if she keeps talking like that someones going to beat her up

i'm allowed to call my pals issues that are offensive to others. We call one yet another "b*tch" perpetually. yet whilst some guy got here up and noted as me that, he's get an earful. comparable element applies right here. there's a protracted custom of white people utilising derogatory words to place black people down.

People who use that word are idiots, and it is not okay if anybody uses it.Why do you think 50 cent and Micheal Richard use it?they did it in different ways though.Richard did it out of hate and stupidity, and 50 did it because he is just an idiot.I look down on anybody who wants to use it.

It is okay for anyone to say anything. Someone may judge a black person for what they say, the same way they would judge a white person for the same thing. People will judge you no matter what you do.

Personally I detest the word. It is a debasing term for blacks, and I don't agree with rappers using the term loosely. It is not alright for anyone to use the term.

Take it from a black person -- it's NOT okay. Some of us feel that by 'taking the word back' we eliminate the sting. Untrue. That word, or any others of it's kind, shouldn't be used at all.

If everyone called every one ****** it would cease to be offensive or derogatory but banning will only make it more derogatory
