Santa Clause told you wrong. Santa's reindeer can fly, not Santa.

See, it's very scientific: Santa can't personally fly, but he's abilities allow him to keep the reindeer and sleigh in the air (plus the reindeer have magaically properties that asist Santa in his keeping them all airborne). As for chimney's, we all know Santa has teleportation powers ... that's how he can still get in homes without chimneys!

I don't know if Santa himself can do a lot of long-distance flying, maybe just little bursts up and down chimneys.... it's the reindeer that do most of the actual flying.
