I had pains in my lower abdomen on both sides at around 14 weeks and was told it was my ligaments stretching--back pain is definitely normal. But if you continue to have sharp pains, I would see the OB just to make sure things are ok. I remember my pains were sharp and would come and go--and eventually they went away. If you have these pains and start spotting or bleeding, don't hesitate and go straight to the ER. Good luck!!

It's normal. You can discuss with your Dr to make sure, but I had the same thing around 4 months. My Dr said it was normal and as long as the pain does not get more intense and goes away after a few seconds then it's fine. You should be visiting your obstetrician every 4 weeks at this point, so do discuss these pains with him/her to put your mind at rest. Good luck!

I had a lot of abdominal and lower back pain throughout my pregnancy. That is usually normal because your body is changing so that you can accommodate a growing a baby. To be on the safe side you should go see you obgyn asap.

I would call your doctor about it just to make sure. I had little shooting pains really low in my abdomen around that time and it was just my uterus stretching, but I did not have any back pain. It is best to have it looked into, just to make sure.

If the back pains are between the shoulder blades and the pain in your abdomen is more right sided, get to the doctor immediately as it could be the sign of a problem with your gall bladder. Blockage of the gall bladder duct could result in your gall bladder exploding and posioning of you and you baby. Please, see a doctor ASAP.
