ooooohhhh let me tell you!
1. use a shaver
2. use tape.
3. use on of those sticky rolls
3. pick them all off-----um i dont suggest it
4. wear the sweater with lint
5. put it in the wash
6. put it in the dryer
6. get it wet (wash) ....and then put it on a drying wrack

It's not just the towels, the sweater is fraying. First, go get one of those sticky roller things in the store and use that. The next time you wash your sweater either buy a sweater washing bag or if you feel like saving money, tie the sweater up in a pillowcase. That will keep the sweater from getting those pills on it.

Wash it agian alone. Dry is again with about 4 dryer sheets.

Tape.
It works every time.
They do sell those sticky-tape lint rollers in the store, and they work great. But in a pinch, a little regular tape works well.
