when people stands on train then their feet remain in contact with the floor of train.
now when train starts to accelerate people feet also accelerates with the floor as floor starts to move forward
but upper part of body is not in contact with any object so it will not move anywhere.
due to this sudden motion of lower part people got dis balance and feel like toppling.
This experience follows from NEWTONS FIRST LAW as upper part dont moves (or dont changes its velocity ) due to lack of agent which can provide force to it BUT LOWER PART MOVES BY FRICTION OF FLOOR.
so people lean backward (opposite to the direction of trains acceleration)
similarly if train decelerates then it slows its speed.so part of body in contact to train also decelerates by friction (this time acting in opposite direction ) but part not in contact still moves with previous greater speed and people feel a forward jerk and lean forward.
that is the reason a standing person feels more 'jerk' as it has smaller part in contact with the train so a small part changes its speed with train but larger part moves with previous velocity.
when sitting more body part is in contact so people feel less jerk when in a train or a car.

The people would feel as though they were being pulled backward. Actually, they would move forward, but more slowly than the train, so relative to it, they would be pulled backward.
This is because of Newton's First Law, which states that an object at rest tends to stay at rest. The people were at rest, so their inertia resists the train's movement while it accelerates. Once the train attains a constant speed, the people will be moving at the same speed as the train and will no longer feel "pulled backward".

If the train accelerates, then so will the people inside (unless they fall out the back end). If the people are accelerating, then a net force is acting on them.
Newton's 2nd law,
F = ma
A net force causes a mass to accelerate
The people inside the train would experience a net force (due to friction) which will accelerate them relative to the ground and bring the relative velocity of the passengers relative to the train to zero (meaning they are moving at the same speed as the train when they finish accelerating and the net force goes to zero).

you would feel yourself getting pulled back.
The first law: Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it. So the people would be the object and the train suddenly accelerating would be the external motion. The external motion would pull the object and make it feel like it is going backwards.

the people would experience a force of push or rather pull
newtons law about inertia applies to it. no object move except a force is applied to it and if it moves, it continues at constant speed except been stopped by another force greater than it's.

I think you are refering to inertia. States that an object in motion tends to stay in motion and an object at rest tends to stay at rest unless acted upon by an outside force. Probably not the exact wording but close enough for you now to find it in your text book...................hint...hint...Ahem!

they would be thrown back into their seat/back of train. Newton's third law "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." explains this
