get a water turtle they r cute when they swim around but don't fill the tank to the very top because they like to come up for air if u decide on that type of turtle but get some fake sea weed and some medicine in case of sick-ness food of corse and finally get like some little pebbles for the bottom they love those!!!

The smallest commonly available water turtles are the Musk turtles and the Reeves turtle. Eastern box turtles do not get too big, but need a very humid tank for proper health.

i'd suggest a red-eared slider. i have 2 of them and they're great pets. they crave attention and love to play. however you have to remember that all turtles are high maintenance!
