Traditionally way back in the day.. a geek was a circus freak show attraction. It was one who bit the head off of chickens.
Then it got lumped into such terms as nerd and dweeb. Basically meaning smart and educated, glasses wearing, pocket protector wearing, losers. If you weren't a popular cheerleader or jock and you weren't an art freak, then you were a nerd or geek.
Since those kinds of people don't REALLY exist anymore.. the term geek is just generally meant as a loser or unpopular.
Someone who's unique and not like everyone else is usually categorized as a geek or freak. Sad but there u have it.

Generally a geek is someone who's smarter than the majority of the people around them, and isn't very socially comfortable. It's kind of the mad scientist generalization, but they can be interested in just about anything. (Though they often do have an interest in something that other people don't find interesting.)
I'm a nerd, not a geek, though. Not smart enough for geek-dom. (Or maybe I'm too lazy to try...)

As generally used, a "geek" is a nerd with a skill. Or, one with a special skill or knowledge in a particular field that becomes the basis for their personal identity.
In fact, "geek" is an old term for a carnival side-show performer whose act centered around shocking activities like biting the heads off live chickens.

In current vernacular "geek" is on the order of a nerd, non-cheer leader type, someone without cool. Geek chic is in now. Other wise you can out grow geekness. There are those who enjoy geekidity. Hey. It really is her problem. She is the name caller, which is far worse than a geek.

It is keeg spelled backwards which means keep earning extra glycerins. Also, if you transpose the letters, egek..it is 5,7,5,11 corresponding with the letters of the alphabet. Added together it is 28. Since it is 2006 it means that on January 28, the end of the world will be here.

A geek is someone who has lots of technical knowledge and few social skills beyond that.
A nerd is someone who has a lot of book learning and few social skills.
Neither have much concern for their appearance.

Yeah. She replaced right into a cutie. All 5'a million'' of her. and he or she wore those glasses that made her eyes seem relatively larger, and whilst she laughed, it replaced into greater like a squeal. She replaced into geeky yet did no longer even realize it.
