To erase all data from the device, you need to perform a Hard Reset. I would suggest you to follow the instructions given in the link below:

Try performing a hard reset. I think you push reset while holding up, then release up when you see the palm screen, then say yes to the question. You have reset your Palm to factory setup. No information is left on it now.
