He's not been found Guilty yet so hanging him would be a bad idea!

NO. This would be a retrograde step and sends the wrong message to countries like the USA, China, Japan and others to continue this evil practise. If we had the death penalty, many innocent people such as the Guildford four and the Birmingham six would have had a chance.
Murderers should receive stiff sentences and the Government is partly to blame by offering no protection to prostitutes. For too long they are caught in the middle by a hassling police force and abusive punters who get away with violence simply because of the women's lifestyle.

I agree that if you take a life you should forfeit your own life sounds like a just decision when someone has cruelly murdered an innocent person but saying that, I'm not sure I would like to see the UK re-introduce capital punishment. What happens when the judicial system gets it wrong and puts an innocent person to death? I don't think humans have the right to take another life, no matter how heinous the crime. If a murder is committed, if you take a life then forfeit your freedom; the family of the victim will never get over it so why should the perpetrator.

Well we do not know what evidence and there has not been a trial. However I watched the programme about the Moors Murders the and the mother of one of the victims said about Brady "force feed him and make him live through and suffer and not take the easy option and die" I agree, hanging is too good for these disturbed people! These murders in prisons are reminders to us.

This man has not been found guilty yet.He may be a very sick man or even innocent! On the other hand he could be guilty as sin.Murdering him to is a different matter .If it was proved he had murdered one of my children I would want to kill him myself. As far as capital punishment is concerned there have been too many wrong convictions for it to be reintroduced.Like it or not it is a thing of the past.

You know normally the first sentence of Frog prince's answer would have provoked me in to a posting a note on why he is incorrect and quite disturbed and inhumane in his thinking, i would have done this in a sensible way using logic, reason and facts.
But tonight i really cannot be bothered so i will just say this....

Frog Prince you're a C*nt..

Yes - and for Gary Glitters...it's time for the Liberal Hand wringing to stop - Wright & Glitter's are turning us all into frightened bunnies.. I say sell tickets and have Public hangings - and give the proceeds to the Victims families.

No - we still have not established whether we have the right man. The Police are not infallible either - it wouldn't be the first time they have got the wrong man. How do you put this right if it turns out to be the wrong man after the event?

I've never believed a civilized society needs to resort to murder to punish its miscreants. But I am a firm believer in tough sentences with no parole. If found guilty he should be put away for the remainder of his life with no possibility of parole.
