For Future refernce, 7 UP is made by the National beverage Company, (also, Vernors, A&W, Faygo, Sunkist, Country Time, Canada Dry, and a lot more).
Pepsi: Sierra Mist (My Favorite)
Coca Cola: Sprite
Overall, no big difference. I think 7 UP has less caffeine in it, even in the caffeinated ones.
A little off-topic, but if your from Detroit, this is important. Did you know the creator of Vernors Cola was a Pharmacist named James Vernors. It was originally made to be a carbonated soda. Today, my family still uses it for a remedy. It was eadquarterd here before the corp brought it out. There's an abandoned factory somewhere on the outskirts of ur downtown and one in an area known as Delray.
Faygo id also created, made, and headquartered here and they ar ecelebrating their 100 year anniversary right now.
ATTENTION: 7 UP IS NOT MADE BY PEPSI. IT WOULD DEFEAT A PURPOSE OF A SIERRA MIST!
Hold on, you right, the soda is bottled by pepsi, but owned by this company.

I can tell the difference in taste. Sprite, in my opinion, is more bubbly. 7up goes flat quicker but I actually enjoy the taste of 7up more. They have the same basic ingredients, although 7up contains more natural ingredients and not as many chemicals which perhaps is why it goes flat faster. Ginger ale tastes nothing like either sprite or 7up to me. There are some cheap brands of ginger ale that don't even have ginger in them so perhaps this is why you find the taste so similar. If you have real ginger ale that has real ginger in it then there is no way that you would EVER mistake that flavor for anything else.

7up has a crisper, clearer taste... sprite is sugary and does not quench your thirst as well.... Also, 7up has magical, medicinal powers. My grandparents always had 7up in the frige for upset stomachs, gas and that nasty phlem that trys to choke you. It cuts right thru that. I even had the nurse get 7up for a lady in the hospital that felt like she was choking on phlem, and both were amazed how well and fast it relieved the symptoms.

Sprite is made by Coca Cola, and 7up is made by Pepsi. I don't know if there's a taste difference. I've only had 7up once and I can't remember the taste.

Sprite is a Coke product and 7Up is a Pepsi product. Also, there is a slight hint of lemon-lime in Sprite which I don't find in 7Up.

7-up has quinine in it, same as in tonic water. Sprite is mixed with plain carbonated water, same as soda water. That's the main difference and the reason 7-up is preferred for stomach pain. Except that with their new "all natural" label, I don't know if it still contains quinine. Unless it's including in "natural flavors."
I can taste the difference, for what it's worth.
