a = 12
b = 22
c = 18

First figure the semi-perimeter:
s = (a + b + c) / 2
s = (12 + 22 + 18) / 2
s = 52 / 2
s = 26

Heron's formula:
A = sqrt( s (s-a)(s-b)(s-c) )
A = sqrt( 26 (26 - 12)(26 - 22)(26 - 18) )
A = sqrt( 26 * 14 * 4 * 8 )
A = sqrt( 11,648 )
A = 107.925901 sq. inches

if s is the sem perimeter
s=(12+22+18)/2=26
according to hero's formula
area=[s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)]^1/2 the root of this

=8 into the root of 188

first find the value of "s"
s= a+b+C/2
12+18+22/2
52/2
s=26

now substitute in this formula

square root of s(S-a)(s-b(s-c)
a=12
b=22
c=18
