Why do so many women lie about.............?

Its disgusting how many lie. And on top of that women talk about how it is hard to talk about and embarrasing, but I see womena ll the time talking about hwo they were raped. I think they are just looking for attention.

I have NOT been raped, but I dont lie and say I was either.

Rape is ugly, very few people who have had experience with it want to have to think about it any more than necessary. I've NEVER heard someone try to lie about it, or use it as an attention getting tactic.

i agree i know 3 girls that lie about being raped and and its from more than 5 diff guys if they we're raped they would either told the cops or they would keep it quite altogether (i think i could be wrong) i have a friend that actually has been raped (by 3 diff guys ) and she has told the cops and all 3 has been locked up ...she acts completely different then the other 3 do. The girls who lie about being raped either want the attention or they say it to their bf's for an excuse of cheating. its not a thing to joke or lie about, and lets say if they do happen to get raped no one will believe them because they said it soo much!

Yeah I know what you mean. I have had a girlfriend for the past 2 years and it just came to light that she supposedly had been raped 3 different times. Once while she was dating me. Yet she lied about the encounter that happened over a year ago. She said she was drunk and puking at a party and a man came in and just molested her. Then she said nothing happened. Now tonight she tells me that the guy actually did have sex with her. Come on now! Honestly girls, if you were raped just once, why in the hell would you let it happen two times after that. I think she just cheated on me and its a cop-out because she felt guilty. Any input is welcome wether positive or negative cause I'm at a loss, we just broke up over this. I can't seem to get over this crazy ****.--merry christmas to me...

I think there are other ways for women to get attention than talking about being raped. Either you are hanging out with a bunch of losers or you are an insensitive person that can't take her friend's traumatic experiences at face value.

Just out of curiosity, how have you figured they lie? I mean, I know some girls use it as excuse to explain a rational decision at the time that seemsunrational to others...like college girls tend to sya they got raped while they were at a frat party because they dont want to be called namesor get a bad rep or already have a boyfriend & dont want to be called a cheater. Keep in mind that not every woman lies though, & I doubt if majority lies! It's sad....

That's a horrible, ignorant thing to say.
Some women weren't raised in the best of situations and have the idea instilled i their head that once they've been tainted, no one will want them or that they can always do more to stop bad things from happening.
Not everyone was raised with rational backgrounds, and it takes them a while to overcome that.

if it were me, i wouldn't be talking about it to just anyone the way you say you are hearing people do. the only people i would tell might be my parents, my therapist, or my sibling or best friend. i certainly would not tell the whole world. only the people who need to know and who i know would take care of me and help me. however, some people deal with instances like that in different ways. perhaps that is how they cope with something like that... to each his own...
