I am married and my wife and I are both about 40. It seems that sex is always an issue for us. If it were up to me we'd make love almost every day. She seems to feel like there is something wrong with me for being so amorous. She prefers once or twice a week.
Its frustrating enough trying to adjust to her level of interest. But she acts as if I am pervert for wanting more, and that I should feel lucky to get as much affection as I do.
Is there something wrong with me?

Nothing wrong with you at all. Sometimes our drives are different and as such we learn to live with it. I, like yourself am not a child either and have a different drive then my fiance but we have a wonderful live and I am grateful for whenever she is in the mood, cause like you I am ready and willing at any time.

Your a average regular guy. I think if this has been a problem from the beginning maybe you should have married someone with a more similar sex drive and interest. I am a mom of 3 age 11 and 9 and 15 days old... my marriage has always been full of regular sex. We had sex at least 5 days a week before the baby. Now we are waiting on my 6 week check up to resume our regular schedule. Many women do enjoy more sex then other women you just married one who don't. The most reason women stop liking sex is because the guy stops getting her turned on.

Both of you are very normal. Is it possible that she feels like you are putting sex above everything else? Sometimes we push hard for sex at what women feel are inconvenient times, like when her parents are visiting and you suggest the two of you slip into the bathroom for a quickie while the rolls are warming up.
Seriously, when you get turned down, try to consider if you are doing it at a time she may feel is inconvenient. Most women's minds don't work like ours do. I would bang my wife 2-3 times a day if she didn't care if anything else in our lives got done. Luckily she has a more level head than I do and makes sure the chores and kids get taken care of. Since we aren't going to have sex, I go ahead and do my part. Sometimes I get an extra sex session in because everything else is done and we have time. So, that's a bonus LOL.

Not necessarily, but most couples do start to slack in the love making dept after a while. I know that me and my husband feel LUCKY to have sex twice a week. WE both have a busy schedule and have different hours, so we try to whenever we can, but its not always the first thing in our heads when we have spare time. So... If I was your wife, and you were wanting me EVERY SINGLE DAY, Id probably have other things that needed to be done with first before sex. If those things were all done, I probably wouldnt mind so much.

hormones! she's coming up on menopause! you are not perverted. perverted would be sex once a day with anyone BUT your wife! if i had my way i'd have sex 2-3 times a day myself. but i do admit i get tired by the end of the day (8 months pregnant). maybe she needs winding down time. a ritual so to speak. what's going on with the rest of the day? does she need venting space (perfect for a hot bath with no talking) glass of wine....foot massage to ease those aching muscles. what's her turn ons? does she get excited when you make dinner? do the dishes?
if i want sex from my husband, i feed him steak and bake a cake. hand him a cold beer when he comes home. give him a back massage before bed. stuff like that.
and no...there is nothing wrong with you. you just need a different approach.

Maybe she's "rationing" the sex because she doesn't want you to think of her as just a hole to stick your d*ck into. Maybe she had a bad day at work. Maybe you haven't asked her about herself in a month and she thinks you don't appreciate her. Maybe you could ease up and just have sex 3 times a week (that's every other day). Maybe you're not doing her right and she doesn't want to bother.
You could have added a few more details about the relationship to make this a little easier.

i dont see anything wrong with u wantin Lovin more then once or twice a week.. Has she always been that way..?? Im about to be married in Jan an that is the one thing that wont change in my relationship, i enjoy being with my BF too much to go from the way we are to only once a week or maybe twice if were lucky..

There's nothing wrong with you. If sex is important and you're not getting enough at home, look for extra sessions outside the marriage.

no offence, but she should feel lucky that a man your age is able to have sex that often.
In relationships where one person has a higher sex drive, that person usually has to accomodate the person with the lower sex drive.
Porn and masterbation, just remember to let her know you fantasize about her, not the women in the porn.
