Though I agree that Ives' "All In the Timing" is very very funny, I think the funniest one-act is Christopher Durang's "For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls."

I agree with those who have mentioned David Ives short works. They're really quite hilarious. My favorites:

"Sure Thing"

"Words, Words, Words"

"The Universal Language"

"The Philadelphia"

many, many more

David Ives also has "Time Flies" which has good one-acts in it. "Babel's in Arms" is a popular one.
