I've already used some soaps (like Orange Clean), and rinsed with water. But it still is sticky when the water dries. Help me with this, please.

Rubbing alcohol works well and is often cheaper than other things! Water won't work because the H2O molecules are polar (have electrical attractions to each other) while sticky substances are typically nonpolar (without electrical attactions) so using another nonpolar substance is the only thing that will work. If it's available try acetone nail polish remover (it must have acetone)! good luck!

No one seems to believe me that this will work, but really it does. If you have some cooking spray in your kitchen, spray the area that is sticky. The whole area and spray it well. Let it sit there for a few minutes to loosen up the sticky stuff then gently rub it around with your fingers working it in good. Then wash with hot soapy water. While rubbing the cooking spray in you should notice some of the residue coming up. May need to do this a couple of times, but it will all come off.

Like the people said... Goo Gone is the product for you. It takes the sticky stuff off almost any surface without runing the surface.

Pretty amazing actually.

Try using a citrus juice such as lemon if you want a natural solution. The citrus acid will soften the tape gum enough to be able to wipe the residue away without being too harsh on the plastic/ vinyl. I hope this helps.

Rub the area with smooth peanut butter and let it penetrate for ca 10 to 20 min. Use your fingernail or a soft cloths to remove peanut butter and sticky residue. Might need repeating but works well on wood, also.

You can use steam on the surface in order to moisten the glue.No cold water... only steam will help. After you do that try rubbing the surface with alcohol. You will have to do that once or twice before you get the results you want. Good luck.

You could try rubbing the surface with an ice cube. I'm not sure if it really works but I believe so, and it's worth a try.

Depending on what kind of tape it is you can use alchohol (just rub it on the surface) and dry it and it comes right off.
