I am so pissed off right now. I spent hours making my hubby cookies and other little pastries from scratch, since he will not be able to join us on Christmas. I just wanted him to still feel included in the Christmas holiday with some treats that I make every year and so he wouldn't feel too bad about not being able to be with us. But U.P.S's employees thought otherwise. Today my beloved hubby recieved nothing but crumbs. The SIDE of the box was smashed in a ripped open. All of those cookies and pastries that I sent him were all made into crumbs. I sent him 2 dozen of each kind of cookie and 6 different kinds of cookies/pastries. But U.P.S does not care, since even though the box was insured (I sent him a Christmas gift that was surprisingly untouched.) that doesn't matter if there is not a reciept insuring the box means nothing.

So anyone else have any stories about how people turn into ***-holes and try to wreck someones holiday. Whatever happened to goodwill towards others?

Holiday spirit became commercialized just like the holiday itself did. Overworked and overwhelmed delivery company employees are just trying to survive an overly demanding work schedule. That stress likely erases what Christmas Spirit they initially (or ever) had.

Sorry for your disappointment. Make sure to pack up those treasured "goodies" a little more safely next time.

Merry Christmas!
