First of all u must not mix LUST with Physical love .SEX. is just the enjoyment part but it is only love which gives u mental satisfaction. Physical love is natural and should come when u both r truely, deeply love with each other. Although honesty and trust are the two main pillars of a loving relationship u should always verify that u are commited whole heartedly to each other before enjoying each other physically.

Yes they are related. Love is an emotional (mental) feeling which make you feel to be close to the person you love. You desire companionship, happiness and like to get as close to your love as possible. That feeling is satisfied when you become emotionally compatible and intimate. The ultimate intimacy is sex which is culmination of love. It should come at the end but many people put the cart before the horse.
There are other kinds of love like friendship, motherly, fatherly, brotherly, sisterly love which is devoid of sex. It is purely emotional.
Sex can also occur without love which is called lust. It is the basic animal instinct.

Totally depends on the person. Some people can't have sex with someone they're not in love with, or at least have very strong feelings for. And there are some folks who can have wild, animal sex with people they don't even LIKE. Sex can certainly exist without love.

You can love some one and not have sex, and you can have sex and not love the person, To justify our guilt we tell our selves that we have to love some one to have sex, but you can tell from answers on this site that is not the case. Generally if you love some one and then have sex, you are looking for a commitment, sex with no love is called a one night stand.
