Anyway, the simple answer to the above question is that it is not just one specific news media, it is ALL the news media that Bush has brought under tight sensorship. You will get a nice clear explanantion of it in a book, titled 'The Greatest Story Ever Sold", written by an American author. As for why in your question, it is to keep in the dark, so they can accomplish their (evil and inhuman) goals; otherwise the honest ordinary Americans will get in their way from achieving it.

That's... Really disturbing. The New York Times, despite some modern opinions about it (the truth has a well known liberal bias, to quote Steven Colbert) is along with the Washington Post one of the most reliable and informative newspapers in the World. The only international newspaper that matches them in reputation is The Times, out of London.
The New York Times is reliable, and that is their website. So quite frankly, i'm scared for the future of this county if this continues.
