my family's christmas is tomorrow!, because my dad has to work on the real christmas (25th) so we have to do it tomorrow! so that would make tonight christmas eve (for me)! and i can NEVER sleep on christmas eve...do you know any ways for me to fall asleep fast and not stay up all night? because like my aunt always used to say "the faster you fall asleep...the faster it will be morning"!

Oh my gosh, I totally get where you are coming from. My dad sometimes has to work on Christmas, and I am celebrating on the 23rd and 24th this year since he is working on Christmas day. I'm sure we'd have a lot to talk about...you could e-mail me at neopets_rox123@yahoo.com
About the falling asleep faster, I close my eyes and concentrate on nothing else but sleep. It works for me in about 10 minutes, sometimes maybe even a little less. Other ways to make yourself tired and ready for sleep are listening to soft, soothing music such as instrumental music, Frank Sinatra, etc.

The best way I've found to fall asleep when I'm having trouble is to take a really hot shower or bath and just stay in there until the water runs cold. Then grab a book, snuggle up under the covers, and turn on a bedside lamp (so you can turn it off without getting out of bed), turn on the radio/cd player (currently with Christmas music) and play something mellow. I just read until I fall asleep. It's also a good idea to use a cd player or something that will turn off on it's own so that it doesn't wake you up later.

Take a nice warm bubble bath, snuggle in some warm pajamas in bed with a book. As you read you will relax and fall asleep naturally.

I will tell you:
Read a VERY BORING book at night. This will help you fall asleep. Read books about the topic you hate like how to make airplanes? or stuff like that and you will be asleep.
This is what I do and this really works!

fleece pjs, a cup of cocoa, and a good book. Snuggle down in your sheets and you'll be asleep in no time.
