Lots of people answered Ms. Stahl's question saying there's no coverage of all the wonderful things being done by our forces in Iraq.

Since the media is not apparently doing a good enough job of this, can you help?

If you know of a SPECIFIC positive thing that's been done as a result of U.S. occupation in Iraq, please list it here. If you have a citation or proof, even better.

Best answer gets 10 points.

Since the regular media hasn't been reporting the facts, I went and found them on my own. I found this non-profit / bipartisan organization that teaches natives in war torn countries how to be objective reporters. They train them and then post the articles.

They have this program in the Balkans, Afghanistan, Africa, Caucuses, etc. I get free email updates and I know exactly what is going on as reported by the nativesthemselves. I read the good, the bad and the ugly.

Iraqi facts:
- 4500 schools rebuilt or remodeled
- 8 million new text books distributed to children and schools
- 13 Iraqi provinces out of 18 are peaceful - More than 70% of the country is at peace.
- Thousands of Iraqi border guards trained and activated to patrol Iran and Syrian borders.

- Iraqi's love to race cars and have started their own NASCAR type racing league. They race in the desert and rebuild cars to race. The crowds contribute money to give to the winner. This was reported on over 2 years ago.

I believe the most specific positive thing that has been done as a result of U.S. occupation in Iraq, is that President Bush has been shown to be confused, disinterested, spoiled, disingenuous, and unable to cope President in our Country's history. It IS a positive thing, as his approval rating is 28% last time I checked. We, the people, need to know who is making life and death decisions, and what they are made of. The media is doing a fine job of showing President Bush's apparent failings.

in case you may in basic terms get that on the information!! i think except you're there to verify all those products its non existent to the final public, we've helped Iraq alot, they seem to be a transforming into united states of america and issues are consistently finding greater suitable there! I dont opt to pass back there yet there is progression. those Iraqis love their cellular telephones, they think of that ring tones are the best element ever they are going to stroll around and jam to it like rock song!

there are many good results that came out of iraq, but the media is so obsessed with slamming bush that they only report bad news.

but if you look back on the three years since we've been there, i've seen alot of cheering arabs. they cheered when sadaam's sons got killed, when sadaam's empire was toppled, when sadaam was caught by our troops, and when al zarqawi was killed.

The best and the practically only good is that Saddam Hussein was taken out of power.

1- we secured the oil
2- we established a permant base in the region.

the war in iraq is far larger than we know and what they are telling us. Bad things are in motion and we are just trying to establish a perimeter. If you think it was Saddam... that was just an opening.
