I've had daydreams, wherein I'm still paying attention to a teacher in class (was back in highschool) and yet there's weird stuff going on. Very different from that, I've had something like a dream where my surroundings changed in a flash. It was jarring, and obviously not "right" (whereas most dreams aren't so obviously bizarre, or so directly contrasted with an immediate reality). And, it also flashed back and forth a couple times before it ended. Freaked the heck out of me, whatever it was.

That would depend how you're defining "dreamed".

Dictionary.com lists several definitions for "dreamed". Some definitions specifically state "dreamed" to refer to an action occurring "while asleep", "in sleep" or "during sleep". Clearly, based only on these definitions, one could not dream while fully awake, for that would be contradictory.

However, there are many other definitions of "dreamed" for which being asleep is not a requirement. "Daydreaming", "imagining", "hoping for", "seeing visions", or "hallucinating" could all also be expressed as "dreaming". And in these cases, it would actually be assumed that you were fully awake while they occurred.

If your question pertains more to the psychological aspect of believing that your mind does or has experienced something akin to "REM Sleep" even while fully awake, I have no idea. I suppose it's possible.
