Used to prefer Burger King, the burgers at least tasted better. Since reading the Fast Food Nation book by Eric Schlosser though I don't like either.

Burger King for the food, especially if you are a veggie, but McDonald's for speed of service and surroundings

I would say McDonalds - went through a phase of eating their Bacon Cheeseburgers mmmm! Although I haven't eaten there for about a year now. On another note, Burger King allows you to put your own salt on fries. Neither of them are good really - not very balanced.

Mcdonalds is better as a snack, their ice cream and milkshakes are amazing and I think its probably cleaner. But when you are really really hungry, you can't beat a XL Whopper or Bacon Double from BK. Burger King's chips are nicer too... and they still have Mayo.
