If you had to chose between being able to see or being able to hear which would you chose and why?

and you have to chose one. I'd pick losing my hearing cause i need to see.

I would choose losing my hearing and keeping my sight. Why? Because I am already blind in one eye. When you have already been blind, you realize what you are missing (I was legally blind for one year in both eyes, then got sight back, then lost it completely in one eye--all thanks to diabetes, its complications, eye surgeries, and cataracts).

When you can't see, you can't see those you love, nature, to drive, etc. When you can't hear, you can't hear them, but you can learn to read lips, you can drive if you have extra mirrors on the car/vehicle, you can still 'feel' music by the beat of it, you can use sign language to talk, etc.

I would pick to lose my hearing because i also need to see, but its also about protecting yourself by how much money you have and other stuff you need your sight and i can get some hearing-aids...

My brother is deaf- born that way. He does not sign- he reads lips. I need to see. I have a friend who is blind- born that way. Her senses are sharp but not enough to be stopped before a car hit her.

One may always learn lip reading and ISL, but you can't hear someone swinging a bat in your face.

i'd choose to keep my sight cos i would never stand not seeing the ppl i love,the nature -the sunset..-colours,lights,clothes,my hair, my make-up... movies, actors n actresses..!but i would stand not listening to music..!absolutely....
