Never really thought about it because I don't have anyone in my face trying to ram religion down my throat. In fact most people I know that are religious are very polite people with conservative values but in no way overly confrontational in a manner such as you describe. However I do find generalizations annoying. I am conservative, I am not religious and I am not a Republican. I will be the first to admit that there are hypocrisies on the Conservative side. Now I challenge liberals to do the same on their side.

Gaspard, I've seen Non Compassionate Liberal on here way more than you, and never found anything troll-like about the questions asked. Way to report someone for no reason.

NCL - yes, I hate that people want to whine about things like the War on Christmas. The non-Christians I know don't refuse to shop places because they don't specifically cater only to their religion. It's ridiculous.

Luckily, most Christians aren't this silly - you just hear about the ones who are more...

Libkillah - um, the winter solstice and hanukkah were around before Christmas. No one *pushed* them there.

Cannon ball, you are awesome.

i think political correctness is a bunch of crap. Why do i have to call you african american? Why can i not just call you american? Have you immigrated from africa? No, you were born here? Well then my friend, you are american. Don't try to get pity from me. Your ancestors were slaves? Time to move on and accept the fact that you are an american, and you live in the free world. It is what you make it. Choose to live in the past full of hate, or grow up and live in the present with everyone else.

I think it is ironic more than funny and all it amounts to is showing how hypocritical some right wing religious fanatics can be. Glad I shopped around for spirituality that would allow me to appreciate and respect others choice of religions, lifestyles, cultures and races.

Hell yes!

The most dependent on religion tend to be in fact the most selective in their argument and the most manipulative against the non-religous,for some reason.

A lot of them talk the talk, but as for really being as compassionate as Christ, few walk the walk.

We in The US are given the right to practice our own religion. We are not granted the right to not see others practice their religion. Most in America are Christian. Christmas is a Christian holiday. If you want your own holiday go for it. But Jesus Christ's birth is celebrated on this day by Christians. I don't push it down your throat . But if you are offended by it so what. America needs to quit trying to please everyone and stop getting offended. Other groups have pushed their holiday around this time trying to minimise Christmas. I am not offended by their celebrations. But if Christmas offends you and Christians offend you by wishing you a merry Christmas you have much bigger issues . You need mental help.

Ok, Sorry for the confusion but what is Religious Correctness? I'm religious and conservative, yet I have no clue what you are talking about.

Please explain or give an example

It's amusing how the hypocritical liberals and atheist want to force their views and opinions down the throats of everyone else (no prayer in school, no religious icons or 10 commandments on government property, etc) but then squawk that conservatives are trying to somehow change THEM! Huh!!
Merry Christmas.

Your question assumes that there is even such a thing as Religious Correctness. I don't happen to think so. I think that the white conservative Male is the most discriminated against group in America today.
