I have always been excellent at remembering things through out my whole life. Now, I sometimes have trouble remembering what someone told me yesterday. Most of the things are nothing important, but it just puzzles me that my memory isn't what it used to be. What can I do or take to help these symptoms?

now this is nothing to be worried about...

25-30 years is the typical age for these symptoms to appear... and then afterwards you become used to them...

what actually happens is that when you get more and more busy in your life, your mind is preoccupppied with daily life matters, about your job, about your bills, about your mortgages etc etc... so your mind is not "registering" things properly.. and just keep it in its RAM (as you'd put it in computer's language)...

this is not actually memory loss.. its just "lack of concentration"

try to relax about things and live your life at a bit slower pace than you are living right now

I would suggest a physical with a doctor to rule out things like onset of alzheimer's or clinical depression, or mutliple other things that can cause memory problems. If all of those are ruled out, then look into your sleep patterns, inadequate rest or poor quality of sleep can cause memory deficits. In the mean time, keep a little notebook, and write things down that are important to you to remember.

It could be because you were exercising your memory more before - with school, or learning a trade. Keep your mind active with Sudoku, crossword puzzles, or memory games. It's common for your age, but you can combat the problem.

The cause it called: OLD AGE!
Try taking Ginko Baloba.
I have had a bad memory all my life, but it is better now than it was when I was twenty. I have been taking Ginko for about 10 years now. I only take half the recommended does.
