We have peace on earth now, in some places. Peace is not absolute but relative. Perhaps we can have it in more places, somehow. I would like to know how. But conflict is probably part of the essence of life, since living creatures kill and eat each other (and no creature wants to be killed or eaten).
Maybe if we only ate things that are alread dead of natural causes? Or if we create some artificial life form that does want to be eaten (like Al Capp's shmoos)?

We will never have peace on earth that is of our making. The nature of man is one of self centeredness, and not god centeredness. He will always seek his own benefit over his neighbor, even if he has to steal, kill, plunder to get it. And man's nature is unchanging and unchangeable. Nothing, no religion, self realization, no amount of education, indoctrination, self denial, veganism, earth worship, nothing changes the nature of man, ever. I have 5000 years of recorded history to prove it too.

We might never have peace because of the idiots that want land, land, and more land. We can continue to get closer, but we may never have absolute peace. (Although it is a dream of mine.)
