I said to my friend "Yo peace dawg."
He said "Aight man holla back."
I was perplexed - I thought we had concluded the conversation.
But since he asked I said "Riiiiicolllaaaaaaa!"
Then he called me a dork! Huh?

holla back would have concluded the parting.
It seems your are stuck in the perpetual ALOHA mode (as you know aloha is hello and good buy, and you could keep saying it back and forth infinite)
see ya

If this question isn't a joke, holla back is the same as saying, "see you later" or "talk to you later."
