AFTER 4 YEARS OF WORKING CLOSELY TOGETHER I WOULDNT SEE ANY HARM IN PURCHASING A GIFT. JUST DO THE SAME AS YOU WOULD FOR ANYONE ELSE'S SHOWER. I MEAN AFTER ALL SHE IS YOUR BOSS BUT SHE'S HAVING A BABY JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER PERSON YOU HAVE PURCHASED GIFTS FOR.. SO THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN GO WRONG WITH. TRUST 33 WKS. PREGNANT IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS. SOME SUGGESTIONS: DIAPERS (BUT YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW WHAT BRAND SHE PLANS TO USE) SLEEPERS SOCKS TOWELS ONESIES WIPES DIAPER BAG A NICE OUTFIT FOR BABY BLANKETS AND RECEIVING BLANKETS ITS JUST SO MANY THINGS A BABY WILL NEED

I think the answer to this question would depend entirely on your relationship with your boss. If you feel comfortable enough to give your boss that kind of present, be it in private or public, then I would say go ahead. But if you don't have that type of relationship, and it would seem you don't if you have to ask your question here, then I wouldn't recommend it. Not only could it ruin your chances for the next promotion but he/she might construe it as sexual harassment and could quite possibly file a grievance against you.

The only way I could see it being an appropriate gift for your boss is if everybody is buying him/her a gag gift. Otherwise, it's not appropriate.

nope.. prolly not. but i guess it depends on how your boss is do they have a sense of humor? either way id just stay away from that as a gift and find something else.
