I have this very annoying boss who takes pleasure in making fun of me, either in private or in front of others. How do I deal with him?

sweetie, if he is mocking at you.. it means to say that 2 things YOU HAVE THE POTENTIAL.. / a threat to him OR you are stupid enough of not understanding things (or simple instructions)
IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE THE POTENTILA>. the talent to have a career growth in the company.. then just do your job and prove to him that u are not scared... nobody can take u down as long as u stick by the rules and u do well...
2nd .. if you fall on the 2nd category, it means to say that MAYBE u dont like the job, you only have it for temporary and not really enjoying it... as if u LOVE your job, you are willing to do an extra mile and will make things work... Im not saying that you are stupid or so... I mean.. if U always screwed up (it means ur skills is not suited for the position that u have)
just like me... I am a technical support, I just go tthe job coz I passed the screening.. but when im already there.. it is worst coz peoples expectation are so high.. i have a technical background but i odnt have the full knowledge about it coz I didnt have a formal education about computer.. I just know a little bit of everything... i gave it a time interval then before I quit... so think about it before quitting.. try to give urself time to adjust... and when it reach your level of patience.. try to look for a better job that YOU REALLY LOVE TO Do then QUIT.. that's the best thing that I can advice for you... it is my personal opinion based on my experiences.. goodluck!!

I would deal with him nonchalantly. By this I mean start looking for another job. Life is difficult enough without your boss making you feel inadequate. He should be ashamed of himself. I mean a joke once in awhile made out of good humor is one thing. But to use you as a personal verbal punching bag is another. Do yourself a favor, do not put up with this any longer. Get on Monster.com and put some resumes out there. Enough is enough.

You fire your boss and move on with your life for better opportunities. You need to make bold moves if you want a better life. Don't be attached to the outcome.

Stay away from people like that. Quit and go to his competitor. Better yet, channel those frustration into a positive energy and become his competitor.

Quit haha... sorry I really dont know that would be the only option there is no way you can prove this can you? If so you can take him to court for defamation of character.
