Christmas is not about shopping and shopping rather it is a time to celebrate with family and friends and reflects on achievements and other thing. I do not believe in the gifts which are worshiped by millions today. a friend of maine is running out of money because of gifts he is trying to get for every one in his family and friends. i told him that Christmas is not about gifts rather its a day of love and celebration regardless if you are Christian or not. a time to be happy and thankful of what you have achieved during this year and to reflect on those achievements and mistakes you have made and see how you can improve on them to accomplish that goal you didn't archive.

Definately the true meaning gets lost. More people spend more time thinking about how to spend all of their money rather than worrying about just being around the people they love. There is so much stress and choas surrounding the holiday that by the time christmas rolls around everyone is hatefuly and tired. I dont even like the whole gift thing. It takes away the meaning truly. Not that I dont enjoy getting gifts : ). Who doesnt? But really the older I get the more and more family and friends are and the best christmas gift in the world is just being able to have 1 day to spend with all of them in one room laughing and smiling. We rarely get those days.

We have lost that "true" sense of Christmas long ago. We can build it back up though, by practicing true holiday spirit within our own families, and instead of going into debt by pleasing people, exchange handmade gifts and help each other fix dinner and share stories of old with one another. I love and give 365 days out of the year, so when Christmas come I relax and let Love take its course.

Yes, I truly believe that. Even Mad magazine's own Bitterman had an actual point:

"Fifty bucks for a digital fantasy about stealing cars, beating up hookers and running from the cops. It's a game that glorifies crime - where's the holiday spirit in that? But if I don't get it for him, somehow I'm the bad guy."

Christmas, like everything else, is what you make of it. I love giving and getting gifts-i love all the shopping and the pretty wrapping. You do what you want, and I'll keep on shopping! I love it all.

there was an article in our newspaper today.a man wrote somthing along the lines of "today, xmas is just about buying presents u dont want to buy,for people who dont even want or need them when tyhey get them."the man was harriet beecher stowes father, the year was 1850.xmas should be about fun, family and friends, but it seems like its been commercial for a very long time,if u take mr beecher stowes word for it!xmas, like all other things,is what u make of it.if u dont want to give expensive presents, bake cookies and give them out-my uncle does that every year, and saves a bundle.u dont even have to make em from scratch, buy the poppin fresh things.
