What is the book Glimpses of truth by Jack Cavanaugh about?

It is set in the 1300s and is about the translation of the Bible into a language that everyday people could understand. (This was considered a heresy at that time.) It is written like as historical fiction with components of a "thriller" but (not surprisingly) has very strong religious overtones.
