Some people like to keep bogus arguments even when they are proven wrong just for the sake to not "lose" such argument. Is there any name in colloquial english to refer to that kind of people?

There is a song called "little miss can't be wrong," but that's awfully long for an idiom...

Mostly I would refer to these people as pretentious idiots.

well, the only thing that I can think of is a person who has to have "the last word" because they have to be right. Or someone who "cuts off his nose in spite of his face" meaning that the person injures himself out of anger toward another: to make a situation worse for yourself when angry with someone. It may not be strictly American English, I don't know.

In America, we call that a "Dubya" ;)

Seriously, blowhard is often used in that sense.
