was in Vegas middle of November....Were having an auction on Nov. 30, I believe. i thought it was scheduled for demolition 1st or 2nd week of December.
My bad...ADD got the better of me....already submit answer then realised you were asking A.C. Sorry!!

Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. has agreed to buy the Sands Casino. The Sands closed Nov. 11, and the new owner plans to tear it down and replace it with a new one. Call 702-784-7777 for more info
