half prep and what's the other half? it depends. like if he's into the surfer/prep look then hollister might be a good choice. pacific sunwear has some shirts that are more prep/surfer and prep/punk/surfer. just go to the websites for each and see if the clothes match his style. then get him a gift card so he can pick his own clothes fromt there.

Do you know what kind of music he likes? If so get him a cd. If not, go to your local wal-mart or k-mart and look into your discount movie section. Pick out movie (comedy is definitely your best option unless you know his taste in movies), find a package of inexpensive popcorn and some candy (red vines,gummy bears, or sno-caps are very nice), arrange all items in a gift bag or large popcorn bowl. VOILA! You have a thoughtful gift he is likely to enjoy.
