Well, I have not had sex for about a year, until (December 20th). It was unprotected.

I heard that if you were to become pregnant, it usuall takes 2 to 3 weeks for the egg to implant in the uterus.

Well, if my egg was already near the uterus at the time of sex, could the implanting be occurring now?

I really want a baby, and I hope I am pregnant.

I was just wondering if this were possible, or if it is to soon to tell anything.

thanks.

too soon to tell. You can take a EPT around January 2, 2007. Good luck to you!

It's way too soon to tell. From what I understand, though, if you have sex after you ovulate, your chances of getting pregnant are slim. You're most fertile the few days before the egg is released. Then the sperm sit and wait for the egg and meet up with it in the fallopian tube. From there, it takes 6 to 10 days or so for the fertilized egg to travel down and implant itself in the uterus. If there are no sperm waiting for the egg when it is released, it just dies (or something - either way it's too late to get pregnant at that point).

Of course, you could still be pregnant if you ovulated late, but I doubt the cramps you are getting are due to implantation.

Good luck! I know from personal experience how agonizing it can be waiting to find out if you're pregnant!
