Well, if you go with myspace, you can create a profile where you can say what kind of people you would like to meet. You can also browse other users profiles and find people you think are like-minded folks and add them to your friends list. You can even do an advanced browse where you specify exactly the kinds of people you would like to find.

You are using one right now by asking this question. They are all kinds of message boards, where people post messages back and forth. First step is to register for one, and put some info that would be relevant to you, something that other people will search for. Like my myspace, classmates and old friends found me by searching for my highschool and last and first names. But be careful on how much personal information you post, it can be a bad thing sometimes.
