Actually there is, but it only happens as you pull up at your destination and you have to switch it off.

I have Radio 2, Radio 4 and Classic FM on my buttons in the car. I flick from one to the other if I don't like what's on. Sometimes I just switch it off for a while. The thing is, they have to play music (or talk about subjects) that please different people - so one person listening is unlikely to hear just what they want to hear. Does that make sense?
PS Why do those DJ's constantly laugh hilariously at absolutely anything? It does my head in!

More to the point... Why is there never anything good on the radio?
Just about every station plays the same songs as the others over and over again.

because most of the stuff they play is current chart related and alas the chart music in this country is crap. the best music comes from the past bands and artists of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s early to late 90s. you might as well get an i pod, mp3 player and download your favourite tracks from there on and listen to them afterwards
