Not to pricy but clean.
My husband and I will be meeting for the first time our Son's future in-laws. We are 76 and 80 years young and they are 50 yrs.old. I have an outgoing personality and am looking forward to meeting them but my son's fiance has told me that her Mother has been in a mental institution and has very bad mood swings, that you never know what to expect out of her. This does leave me a bit aprahensive. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Here is a list of places open on Christmas Day in Houston. Click on "reviews" to the right of the restaurant to read customers' opinions. Too long for me to copy. Just click on the blue words.

Good luck!

I could do without the White Russians but the ribeye, eggs and bacon sounds like a hit. Ours have changed over the years as the kids grew up. Now we get up, have some coffee and some home baked sweets, then sit and open the gifts, get dressed and then everyone has some kind of job in the kitchen getting dinner ready for the rest of the family and friend who will join us. I have found though working together in the kitchen has brought us closer, it seems to make us not just family but a teem of friends too. We laugh a lot and act silly, and every once in a while you'll hear a little sigh by someone of contentment. That's a beautiful sound. Hope yours is Happy.

The Hyatt Regancy Downtown is open, I'm not sure if you have to have a reservation or not. The prices are kind of steep. There is a place called Bond's Sports Grille on the corner on Louetta Rd. and Grant Rd. They have EXCELLENT food, friendly service, and really cool James Bond memorialabilia all over the place. Their food ranges from steak, shrimp, chicken, 1/2lb burgers, homemade fries made with regular potatoes or sweet potatoes. I think on Christmas they are also going to have a traditional Christmas meal along with their regular menu.

I don't know about Houston, but here we have Jack-In-The-Box and they be open every day, 24/7. They should at least give the register a break and the grills and the fryers.
